On the afternoon of Wednesday, January 22, a 35-year-old construction worker died under the rubble caused by the fall of a wall at a construction site on Temozón Norte Avenue.
The deceased is a man who lived in Motul – although he was born in from Dzemul -, a bricklayer, and was in the interior part of the construction area.
It was learned that on the outside two of his companions were bringing down a wall three meters high.
At one point the wall fell and the body of the unfortunate worker was left under the rubble, who practically died instantly.
His colleagues, upon realizing this, immediately requested help through the 911 emergency number.
Shortly after, police and paramedics from the SSP Yucatán arrived at the scene, the latter being the ones who indicated that the bricklayer had already died. The body was covered and the area was cordoned off for the corresponding proceedings.
