A resident of the municipality of Hoctún had a big scare when she found a skull in front of her home.
The discovery occurred on 14th Street, between 27th and 29th, when the elderly woman discovered the skeleton on the wall of her terrace.
Given what had happened, the woman notified the authorities with the help of a relative.
Hoctun is located 46 kilometers (28.5 miles) east of Merida (INEGI)
State and municipal police officers arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and took note of the events, while personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office carried out the corresponding procedures.
