A minor was thrown from a mechanical game on the night of Sunday, February 23, suffering serious injuries as a result of the strong fall, in the tourist area of Cozumel.
These events occurred around 10 pm at the fair installed in the Quintana Roo park, in Cozumel.
According to some versions, the doors of the compartment where the minor was riding, suddenly opened, apparently because the safety lock was not properly placed, causing the teenager to be thrown out when the mechanical game turned, in the presence of her parents.
This event caused a commotion among those attending the fair, and it did the same minutes later on social networks when a video began to circulate in which the minor was captured lying on one side of the mechanical game structure.

The minor’s parents transferred her by their means to a private hospital, where her health condition was allegedly reported as delicate but stable.
Minutes later, agents of the Municipal Police, the State Attorney General’s Office, as well as Civil Protection arrived at the scene, closed the mechanical game, and imposed a sanction on those responsible for the fair.
Through social networks, this department announced that it also initiated an administrative process against those responsible for the operation of the mechanical game.
It reported that the company is taking responsibility, so far, for the young woman’s medical expenses.
Finally, Civil Protection warned that all corporations in charge of security on the island will not tolerate negligence that puts the lives of those attending the fair at risk and demand that the concessionaires of mechanical games strictly comply with safety regulations.
“Likewise, (the authorities) call on the population to report any irregularity to prevent new accidents,” it concluded.
