In the early morning hours, a strong anti-narcotics operation was carried out in a home in this community, where drugs were allegedly distributed, linked to a subject identified as A. R., 45 years old, also known as “Güero Mex.”

The events took place at a home on 16th Street between 9 and 11 Buctzotz, which surprised the neighbors when they heard and saw the arrival of a convoy of several police units.

Heavily armed agents closed the streets of the area to carry out anti-narcotics efforts, fulfilling a search warrant after several anonymous complaints indicating that drugs were allegedly being sold there.

Based on evidence data, a control judge issued the search warrant that was completed that day by the corresponding authorities. Two people were detained in that place for their probable responsibility in crimes against health: Manuel Jesús A. R. and his partner Heydi María C. P., 47 and 48 years old, respectively, originally from the city of Mérida. 3,700 kilograms of cannabis, 26 grams of crystal, and 10 grams of cocaine were seized.
