Foreign tourist caught on video taking sea shells in Cancun in front of National Guard officers who did nothing

A tourist was caught on video taking sea shells from a Cancun beach without the National Guard or the lifeguard intervening.

According to TikTok user miketravelmx, the lifeguard did not say anything to the foreigner and when he reported him to the National Guard, he did nothing to stop him and force him to return them to where they belong.

In the end, the tourist left with at least two snails, which was condemned by the users, who indicated that Mexico’s ecosystems must be protected.

Among other comments that this publication unleashed on social networks, some users pointed out that most likely the National Guard officers do not even know that the law prohibits picking up sea shells on the beaches of Mexico.
