UADY is constantly promoting access to higher education
This call aims to promote access to higher education for youth who face contexts of inequality in the quality of their previous academic training and who come from vulnerable socioeconomic situations.
The General Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree System, Ramón Esperón Hernández, reported that the students come from municipalities such as Cansahcab, Dzan, Hunucmá, Cenotillo, Cuzamá, Homún, Kanasín, Mama, Sotuta, Seyé, Temax, Tekit and Yobaín, to name a few.
The applicants are interested in degrees such as Architecture, Social Communication, Public Accounting, Marketing and International Business, Law, Education, Teaching English, Nursing, Social Work and Civil Engineering, among others.
During the welcome event, held in the Uxmal II Hall of the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center, the rector of UADY, Carlos Alberto Estrada Pinto, recalled that this provides the opportunity for students from all over the State to access higher education and receive the appropriate preparation to facilitate their entry.
The students received a welcome induction course, as well as general guidelines and workshops for new admissions.
