Since this week, travelers from different parts of the world have arrived at Pac-Chen, Quintana Roo, attracted by its natural wealth and ecotourism experiences. Among the most notable activities are tours along natural trails; kayaking and rappelling in the cenote, the latter one of the most requested experiences.
This tourism boom has turned the industry into one of the main sources of income for the community, allowing the development of new infrastructure projects.

To improve the visitor experience, the residents of Pac-Chen have promoted projects such as the construction of a palapa with local materials, which will serve as a dining room for tourists.
The tourism push is not limited to Pac-Chen. According to the inhabitants of the area, the tourist offer in the south of the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas is currently being promoted, including communities such as Nuevo Durango and Tres Reyes.
In addition, he highlighted the tourist corridor that connects with Punta Laguna and the archaeological zone of Cobá, expanding the options for visitors and strengthening the recognition of these communities as destinations of ecotourism interest.
