In Yucatán, the federal program “Fentanyl kills you: Stay away from drugs, choose to be happy” began, whose objective is to prevent the consumption of harmful substances and ensure the well-being of young people in the state and throughout the country.
From the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center, Governor Joaquin Díaz Mena launched the activities that will be carried out as part of this campaign including public and private secondary schools, state, federal, transferred, technical, and Telesecundarias, as well as high school campuses in various modalities, Adult Education Centers and Cultural Missions.
Fentanyl is a drug that, in a short time, leads to a point of no return, causing serious damage to society and thousands of families in Mexico, therefore, the objective is to protect girls, boys, and young people, providing them with tools to make informed decisions and keep them away from this danger.
This campaign aims to reach more than 462 secondary schools from different subsystems, 434 high schools, 103 schools from the private education system, 81 Adult Education Centers (CEBA), and 22 Rural Cultural Missions.
Informational material will be distributed in schools to raise awareness about the harm caused by harmful substances.
This material includes copies with guidelines for mothers and fathers, guides for teachers, and illustrative posters, benefiting more than 1,600 educational institutions and nearly 180 thousand families throughout the state of Yucatan.
