The Yucatán Scientific Research Center (CICY) managed to develop a completely sustainable electric car, which is aimed at contributing to the production of high-impact technology for Mexico in the area of renewable energies.

The Mexican researcher assigned to the CICY Renewable Energy Unit, Dr. Víctor Manuel Ramírez Rivera, indicates that this advance was achieved thanks to a comprehensive effort that combines the development of cutting-edge hardware and software.

In a statement, it states that the work team on this project is using cutting-edge technology to control electric propulsion and generation of renewable energy.

The institute highlights that the prototype, designed and built by a group of young researchers at the CICY, incorporates innovative semi-autonomous driving and energy autonomy capabilities.

This not only optimizes power management but also reduces power intermittency commonly seen in battery electric vehicles.

It should be noted that this Mexican technology is in the registration process with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) for the innovation of its various components.

Likewise, the agency points out that in response to national and state development plans, the CICY will be collaborating with government agencies to continue advancing in this and other technological projects.
