50 Best Discovery is a guide that represents the very best in hospitality and functions as an extension of the renowned annual “50 Best” rankings for restaurants, bars, and hotels. The venues featured in 50 Best Discovery has received votes from the experts who create the rankings for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, The World’s 50 Best Bars, The World’s 50 Best Hotels, and Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants, among others, resulting in a broader and more diverse selection that ranges from emerging venues to high-end establishments.
To be included in 50 Best Discovery, each selected establishment must receive a significant number of votes from the panel of expert academics, which includes renowned writers, food critics, chefs, entrepreneurs, and gourmets who participate in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, The World’s 50 Best Bars, and/or The World’s 50 Best Hotels, or appear in any of the annual regional rankings.
