A bag containing 40,000 pesos was stolen from a vehicle in the San Pool neighborhood of Hunucmá.

The victim, Vianey K., said she left her purse containing 40,000 pesos in cash inside her truck in the aforementioned neighborhood before leaving with her partner to attend a dance last Sunday. The woman said that, although she noticed the presence of suspicious individuals in the area, she didn’t give it any importance.

After several hours, as she was leaving the scene, she realized her purse was not inside the vehicle, so she asked residents, only to learn that they hadn’t seen anything.

The woman filed a complaint with the Federal Electoral Service (FGE) to find the person responsible for the theft and stated that she trusted in the goodwill of the residents of Hunucmá, which is why she offered a reward for the recovery of the bag, the documents found inside, and the money.

Carlos Canul, director of the Hunucmá Municipal Police, commented that security personnel are patrolling the area to prevent a repeat of this incident.
