José Enrique Molina Casares was elected in January of this year as the new president of the Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Merida (CANACO SERVYTUR) for the period 2025, replacing Levy Abraham Macari who concluded his term after two years at the head of this business institution.

The president of Canaco Servytur Merida, José Enrique Molina Casares, indicated that the recent implementation of a 25% tariff on Mexican products exported to the United States has raised alarms in the local business sector due to the repercussions.

Regarding the impact on the local economy, Molina Casares pointed out that Yucatan is a state with a strong dependence on exports, so a contraction in this sector will affect producers, distributors, and workers.
