State authorities at the Cholul police station learned of the death of a person who fell into a swimming pool.
The incident occurred in a private area on 7th Street, on the main road leading to the Cholul community, in northern Mérida.
So far, there are no detailed details of what happened; however, it has been determined that the deceased was a man of approximately 80 years of age who fell into a swimming pool.
The police reportedly received the report of this accident a few minutes after 6:00 a.m.
Authorities were informed of the incident, and the Prosecutor’s Office was in charge of removing the body for later transfer to the Institute of Forensic Sciences, where the cause of death would be determined.
