The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) began the corresponding investigation after the events recorded last Sunday in Kanasín, related to the running over of a pet in the Pedregales neighborhood of this municipality.

The complaint by the owner of the canine was received at the FGE last night, so they are already working in a coordinated manner with elements of the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the SSP in the case.

The reported events are related to the owner of a truck that entered a closed street in the aforementioned neighborhood, where when maneuvering to make a “U” turn, the vehicle ran over the legs of the canine, who had to be taken to the veterinarian for care.

After the events and the complaint were filed, the authorities began the corresponding investigation to determine what happened in the face of the possible commission of a crime.

Fredy “N”, the driver who was caught on video running over the dog “Negrita” three times, declared that he did not realize that the animal was on the public road.

As we reported yesterday, the incident occurred on 37th Street between 16th and 22nd in Pedregales in the aforementioned municipality when he was traveling in a truck accompanied by another person and a minor.

According to his claims, he was making a “U” turn and did not hear any howl, even though in the recording it is clearly observed that the dog did emit sounds of pain and that other dogs nearby reacted by barking.

The subject also said that he got out of the truck, although he did not explain the reason, and that two minors assured him that “Negrita” was fine before leaving the place.

Finally, he said that it was an accident and has expressed his intention to cover the animal’s medical expenses, in addition to facing the complaint against him.
