At the Mérida-Campeche highway junction, known as the entrance to Xtepen or the exit to Chetumal, a truck driver identified as Iván failed to slow down to enter the winding road, causing him to lose control and end up overturned on his side.

The incident occurred at kilometer 148, where the heavy vehicle was lifted by the weight of more than 30 tons of animal food while maneuvering. Inside the tractor trailer, the driver managed to hold onto the steering wheel, preventing serious injuries.

Umán police officers and the Ministry of Public Security arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area while the National Guard took appropriate action.
