Working Ties Reaffirmed: Official Visit of the U.S. Consul to the Merida Airport

With the aim of strengthening cooperation in connectivity and bilateral relations, the U.S. Consul General in Mérida, Justen Thomas, made an official visit to Mérida International Airport, according to a press release.

During the meeting, the consul expressed his appreciation for the collaboration that, over the years, has facilitated the transit of U.S. visitors and diplomatic representatives in the city, promoting the strengthening of ties between the two countries.

For his part, Héctor Navarrete Muñoz, Director of Regional Airports for ASUR, reiterated the good collaboration maintained with the U.S. Consulate and emphasized the commitment to continue working to strengthen connectivity and passenger safety.

Also participating in the meeting were Mr. Oscar Carrillo Maldonado, Administrator of the Mérida Airport; Ms. Ana Cristina Muñoz Bello, Manager of Public Relations and General Aviation; and Giovanna Cabrera Marín, a specialist in political and economic affairs at the U.S. Consulate.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and cooperation, reaffirming the mutual commitment to continue strengthening the relationship between both nations regarding connectivity, tourism, and diplomacy.
