Due to this closeness, a “kiss” between these two celestial bodies will be visible on December 7th and 8th.

MEXICO, (December 06, 2021).- One of the best astronomical phenomena is approaching and it is the “kiss” between the Moon and Venus. It will take place on December 7 when this conjunction occurs, so the natural satellite of the Earth and Venus will be very close.

Due to this closeness, it looks like a “kiss” between the two celestial bodies and can be seen during the early morning until next December 8.

This kiss can be seen with the naked eye at sunset, December 7, and it will be visible again at sunrise.

Astronomical phenomena of 2021

There is good and bad news about this phenomenon. As for the bad news, it is that it will be the last event of the year; but the good news is that it can be seen again at the end of March 2022.

This 2021, the Moon has given away several moments like a partial eclipse and other sightings worth remembering and there are still some that you can still enjoy.

These are:

  1. Conjunction of the Moon and Saturn
  2. Conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter
  3. Comet Leonard
  4. Geminid Meteor Shower
  5. Ursid Meteor Shower
  6. Conjunction of the Moon and Mars

The kiss between the Moon and Venus will be visible in Mexico City and other states of the Republic, especially in places with little light pollution.
