A couple was arrested and a house seized after authorities located drugs in their home. The pair were taken into police custody from a private Isla Mujeres residence after executing a search warrant.
A home located on Calle Jurel in Manzana 150 in the municipality of Isla Mujeres was searched.
“There, specialized experts processed and collected various evidence,” the FGE said, which included 197 bags of marijuana and 15 bags of transparent synthetic material with a solid brown substance. Similarly, two scales, a mobile phone, a radio receiver, and a digital video recorder were also seized.
“Irene “V” and José “R” were detained at the site and placed at the disposal of the Special Prosecutor,” the agency said adding that “the property was insured and seals were affixed to continue with the investigation.”
