Dead baby found inside a prison in Puebla would have been used as a “mule”

The little body of the infant was found inside the Center for Social Reintegration of Puebla (CERESO) on January 10th, while an inmate was looking for plastic bottles in a trash can.

(PUEBLA, MEX. – FGE).- The authorities of Puebla, in Mexico, are investigating whether the six-day-old baby found dead in a garbage container in a prison was used as a mule to transport drugs into the prison.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) believes that the little boy would have been used to smuggle drugs into the prison due to the surgical incision detected in his abdomen.

The Prosecutor’s Office is working to clarify the finding, reported on January 10.

“This investigation is handled with the necessary secrecy to be able to reach the truth, first to determine where the child was born,  because he was not born inside the prison.”, indicated the governor of Puebla, Miguel Barbosa Huerta, who incidentally anticipated that a lot of crap” is going to come out as a consequence of this incident (whatever he meant).

According to the official quoted by several Mexicans this week, He explained that the authorities are investigating the time between the baby’s birth and the moment when he appeared dead, how there was an incision in the baby’s body, as well as how and who brought the little baby’s body into the prison, and who are the parents.

The CERESOS centers do not have the best reputation within the Mexican prison system, and basically, the whole penitenciary system is in hands of organized crime, as they use the Mexican prisons as “call centers” for telephonic extortion.
