Yucatan obtained a first place at the national level as the state that most promoted entrepreneurial projects to face the pandemic, according to the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (Coneval).
So far during the administration of Governor Mauricio Vila, through the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs (IYEM), more than 300 million pesos have been spent in support of more than 70,000 men and women entrepreneurs.
In this way, 87 projects have been incubated, 79 companies accelerated, more than 1,100 companies served and more than 200 brands registered.
Antonio González Blanco, director of the unit, highlighted that Yucatán has had good achievements in national and international calls, which has positioned the state as one of the most competitive in Mexico.
He recalled that more than 39,000 jobs have been generated in the state, which means 54 percent more than the 25,000 lost due to the pandemic, breaking a new historical record in job creation, recording in March more than 400 thousand workers registered before the IMSS.
Among the state programs that are offered are “Starting from scratch”, “Incubation 2022”, “Business Acceleration 2022” and “MicroYuc Entrepreneurs”, in addition to the fact that on May 16, the IYEM will reopen coworking with security and safety measures and protocols. hygiene.
