VivaAerobus flight 1110 from Mexico City arrived at 03:53 hours, instead of 02:45 hours, due to the fact that the plane in which they intended to travel suffered a breakdown and they had to wait for the arrival of another aircraft, according to several passengers.

According to information gathered, most of the passengers arrived at 10:00 p.m. at the airport in the nation’s capital to check in, obtain their passes to enter the last waiting room, where they were waiting to board the plane to return to Merida.

Around 01:00 hours boarding of the aircraft began, but not even 20 people had boarded, when they were informed that the “team” was going to inspect the aircraft and the people were asked to get off the plane.

After an hour, they were asked to move to another room where the airplane they were going to use for the 1110 route was located, because the other one would definitely take longer to be ready to operate and shortly before 02:00, they were asked to board the aircraft which took off at 02:25 hours.

“It was a very tiring trip, stated one of the passengers, because most of them had to leave the hotel before 21:00 hours, in order to arrive on time to the air terminal, due to the excessive traffic that was everywhere due to the thousands of pilgrims that were heading towards the Basilica of Guadalupe to attend the serenade dedicated to the Virgen Morena del Tepeyac, after two years of having been suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic”, said María Jesús N.

Others stated that they did not like that they were kept waiting for hours, without anyone explaining the reason for the delay, but when a passenger is late, not only does he/she miss the flight, but is forced to buy another ticket to be able to travel, that is, it is a total loss, but when the company is responsible for the delay, they never compensate their clients in any way, they never compensate in any way their customers who are not offered at least a glass of water or their money back so that they can try to travel on another airline, violating with impunity the rights of consumers, without the responsible authorities such as PROFECO intervening and trying to put a stop to the abuses committed by the airlines.

On the other hand, Volaris flight 448, which connects the city of Tijuana with Merida and Oaxaca, also suffered a delay of 17 minutes.
