U.S. issues Travel Advisory for spring breakers visiting the Mexican Caribbean

The U.S. Embassy issued a travel alert on the occasion of the Spring Break 2023 season, in which it issues safety recommendations for tourists who decide to visit Quintana Roo destinations.

The Travel Alert recommends U.S. citizens to increase their precautionary measures in downtown areas of Quintana Roo’s most popular destinations, especially during the evenings.

It also refers to multiple reports of tourists intoxicated with adulterated alcohol who have lost consciousness and whose health has been affected by consuming presumably contaminated alcohol.
