How to prepare basil tea?

To brew an infusion with fresh basil leaves, the first thing you need is to gather the necessary ingredients.

A couple of tablespoons of basil leaves.
Two glasses of water (500 ml).
Sugar to taste (we do not recommend it).
Other ingredients to discover new flavors such as pepper, a few drops of lemon, ginger, mint, honey or mint for a touch of freshness.
The method of preparation is as follows:

Bring water to a boil in a small pot and wait for it to boil.
Just before it reaches the boiling point, add the fresh basil and the rest of the plants you have chosen.
Wait 90 seconds.
Turn off the heat and let the mixture infuse for 5-7 minutes.
Strain through a strainer.
Add sugar, saccharin, lemon or honey.
