PROGRESO – Next Wednesday, May 17, at Quinta Alsina in Merida, a fashion show will be held to raise funds for the construction of the Red Cross branch in this port.
The event is organized by the Asociación Mexicana de Mujeres Empresarias (AMEXME), Yucatan Chapter, it was announced yesterday at the presentation of the fashion show which will be called “AMEXME de la mano con Cruz Roja Mexicana Delegación Progreso” (AMEXME hand in hand with the Mexican Red Cross Progreso Delegation).
It was reported that the fashion show organized by Amexme, Yucatan Chapter, is part of its social responsibility, this time it is for the benefit of the Red Cross delegation based in this port to raise funds to be used for the construction of its premises.
Dr. Thelma Leticia Torres Dorantes, president of Amexme, Yucatan Chapter, emphasized that the Red Cross is an institution they admire worldwide and they are fortunate to have the support of fashion designers Abraham Téyer and Miriam Arcila, as well as members Guadalupe González with the Sé Leyenda brand; and Carmita Aguilar with the Karmissa brand.
The fashion show will be held next Wednesday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Quinta Alsina, located at 106 18th Street in Itzimná, an event that is expected to be attended by more than 400 people, and the public is invited to attend by purchasing tickets at a cost of $350, which includes snacks and refreshments, as well as the right to participate in a raffle of gifts at the end of the fashion show.
Aurea Elena Gómez Novelo, president of the Progreso branch of the Red Cross, informed that the challenge is to raise funds for the construction of their office in this port and to cover some of the institution’s operating expenses.
The press release informed that the organization of the event is in charge of the AMEXME committee, made up of Madeline Capetillo, second vice-president; Telma García and Martha Peraza, treasurer; Merly Briceño, director of Business Links; Laura Castro, director of Government Liaison; Maricela Castro, secretary; Carmen Cruz and Margarita Marrufo, directors of Social Development.
