Tragic family Sunday on the Mérida-Tizimín Federal Highway

An invasive maneuver on a curve by a driver on a Matiz compact vehicle, caused a fatal collision with a truck, on the Merida-Tizimin federal highway, right at one of the accesses to this municipality.

Unfortunately, two women, including a pregnant woman, lost their lives at the scene, and four more people were injured, including two minors.

The tragedy arose at kilometer 74, when around 10 in the morning the Pontiac Matiz driven by Mr. Mario S., driving from Tizimín to Mérida, is presumed to have invaded the opposite lane, where the Toyota unit was looming. Avanza, under the command of José P.

In the face of the brutal crash, the first compact ended up overturned on its awning and off the road, in which Mario, his niece and son, were injured, being transferred to a private hospital by paramedics from the ambulances of the Ministry of Public Security, while his wife, 8 months pregnant, and her mother, unfortunately lost their lives.
Likewise, the occupants of the Avanza, the driver and his co-pilot were only polyconcussed, both were taken to the T-1 hospital of the IMSS in the emergency units of the SSP.

Even the child under 4 years of age looked very bad, as he presented severe head trauma.

The site of the accident was cordoned off by elements of the Municipal Police and state agents, waiting for the other corresponding authorities to do so.
