A vehicle used as a platform taxi ended up overturned on its left side on Monday night after colliding with a parked car on 65th Street, between 74th and 76th Streets, in the city center.
According to reports, the driver of a Beat car was traveling on 65th Street when he dozed off and veered his steering wheel to the left, crashing into a parked Honda. As a result of the impact, the Beat car ended up overturning onto its side.
The driver got out of the vehicle on his own and was attended to by paramedics from the Public Security Secretariat (SSP). He only sustained minor injuries that did not put his life at risk.
The issue was that his insurance company did not take responsibility because he had private car insurance and was working as a taxi driver, so they refused to cover the damages.
