A man from Tekax was shot dead in Cancun, Quintana Roo.
The incident reportedly took place last Tuesday when the victim, identified as Raul Peniche Á., was attacked by individuals in a van and a motorcycle on Miguel Hidalgo Avenue at the intersection of 143rd Street. They allegedly fired at him at least 7 times.
According to the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office, the investigation into the case is still ongoing, but it is believed that his murder may have been due to a presumed case of mistaken identity.
