The President mentioned that after finishing his report he will get on board one of the Maya Train cars, not to inaugurate the project, but as a test to supervise it.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported that his fifth government report will be given on September 1 in Campeche, where he will later board the Mayan Train.

In his morning conference this Monday at the National Palace, López Obrador said that his report will be presented in the morning and ended stating “we are going to get on the train.”

“Not to inaugurate it, we are going to get on at the Campeche station, because it coincides that it is Friday. It is the supervision weekend that I do every 15 days, so we are going to get on the Train in Campeche and we are going to get off at Teya, in Mérida, it is the first route, but supervision ”, he pointed out.

He explained that the day after his report he will get back on the Mayan Train to get off at Chichén Itzá, where “what is known as old Chichén Itzá” will be opened to the public. Also in Cancun, AMLO will inaugurate public works in the municipality of Benito Juarez, Quintana Roo.

López Obrador thanked those who are working on the progress of the construction of the Mayan Train, “the largest work in the world.”
