The National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (Coneval) reported that during the administration of Mauricio Vila, the governor of Yucatan, 236,684 Yucatecans were lifted out of poverty, with a reduction of 10.7 points.
The lowest poverty figures in the state’s history were achieved, with improvements in three important areas: educational lag, social security, and food security.
This not only achieved the social recovery of 164,000 people who fell into this situation during the pandemic but also benefited an additional 72,000 people who were in this condition before.
