At least eight restaurants are expected to open once the gastronomic corridor of Merida is ready.
This tourist stop includes Calle 60 and Calle 47 in the historic center of Merida, with the latter street being the one initially intervened.
The improvements and development of the project have had a positive impact, resulting in new investments aiming to open at least eight restaurants in the area.
Currently, there are 15 restaurants operating on the mentioned street. However, it has been reported that at least eight new establishments have begun construction, adaptation, and equipping in the area.
It’s worth noting that this significant project is closely linked to the development of the Grand Park of La Plancha. The gastronomic corridor will connect with this tourist stop, which will also feature new restaurants.
Claudia Yamily González Góngora, President of the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and Seasoned Foods in Yucatan, emphasized that the Merida Municipality’s project is an investment that encourages the restaurant sector. She revealed that six to eight new gastronomic units are preparing to join the new gastronomic corridor.
This project aims to demonstrate that restaurants contribute to revitalizing and economically energizing desolate urban areas, as was the case with Santa Lucía Park a few years ago.

Share your impressions of where you bought a diamond ring? Which store, why did you order from them, will you order again?
I agree! I bought a Moissanite ring for my girlfriend there for a proposal as well. I was incredibly worried that I wouldn’t get the size right, because I had it custom-made, but the team of experts were very professional and helped me solve all the issues. As a result, everything fit perfectly, and my girlfriend was delighted. She still wears it every day and takes pictures. I definitely recommend it!
