As terrible as it sounds, often, sexual predators are found within homes. This is the case of a man who will spend 30 years in a Yucatan prison for abusing and impregnating his own 11-year-old daughter. That’s how serious it is.
In a brief procedural hearing, a guilty verdict was handed down to Ángel “N,” a 34-year-old individual who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for being found criminally responsible for the crime of aggravated statutory rape. This crime was reported after he abused and impregnated his 11-year-old daughter.
According to the investigation carried out by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the convicted individual used physical and moral violence to abuse his own underage daughter, whose identity is protected. This led to the formal filing of the complaint in criminal case 111/2022.
This individual was apprehended by officers of the Public Security Secretariat in Mérida last year, after the mother filed the complaint.
The complaint states that Ángel “N,” a waiter by profession, sexually assaulted his daughter multiple times in their own home when the mother was away at work.
During a recent hearing at the First Control Court of the Second Judicial District, located in Kanasín, a guilty verdict was reached after obtaining the consent of the involved parties. The State Attorney’s Office presented the evidence that led the Judge to issue the aforementioned guilty verdict. In addition to the prison sentence, the accused was also ordered to pay restitution for the damage caused. His political rights were suspended, he will receive a public reprimand, and he is prohibited from approaching the victim either directly or through third parties. Moreover, he will lose his familial rights.
Before concluding the proceedings, the reading and explanation of the sentence were waived, thereby confirming that this individual will spend 30 years in prison for this heinous act.
