President Andrés Manuel López Obrador traveled from Teya Station in Kanasín aboard the Maya Train to the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá.

In this Mayan city, AMLO will inaugurate Chichén Viejo, an adjacent area of Chichén Itzá that has been rehabilitated by the National Institute of Anthropology and History.

Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal accompanies the President of the Republic at the event, along with the Governor of Quintana Roo and Luisa María Alcalde, Secretary of the Interior.

Subsequently, AMLO will board the Maya Train once again to head towards Quintana Roo and continue with his working tour in the Yucatán Peninsula.
