Merida, Yucatan, September 07, 2023.- Accused of the crime of culpable injury G.L.V.Q. and C.C.Ch.V., were sentenced to trial after being evaluated the evidence presented by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), for the facts occurred in February of this year, in a property in the subdivision Caucel II.
During the hearing held at the Oral Justice Center of Merida, the litigation prosecutors presented the evidence contained in the investigation file of criminal case 231/2023 and the Second Control Judge of the First Judicial District, after evaluating it, issued the aforementioned indictment and granted three months for the closing of the complementary investigation.
As will be recalled, during the initial hearing, the facts were stated that last February 5, the second defendant had under her care two dogs, property of the first mentioned, of the American Bully breed, when she opened the access door without due precaution and the dogs attacked the victim, who lost his left forearm due to the injuries caused.
Before concluding the hearing, the precautionary measures were ratified in the initial hearing, which considered that G.L.V.Q. must go every month to the Centro Estatal de Medidas Cautelares and be under the surveillance of said center and the payment of an economic guarantee.
As for the second one, she will remain in a rehabilitation center and will receive random visits from the aforementioned Center, in addition to the fact that both were prohibited from leaving the State without judicial authorization.
