October 7th was declared Mexican Wine Day in January of this year to encourage wine consumption and promote Mexican wine in the market.

In this context, Casa Madero, a proud from Coahuila winery and a reference in the industry at the national and international levels, launched a limited edition of its iconic 3V on Mexican Wine Day.

Mexico is considered the birthplace of viticulture in Latin America, as it boasts one of the oldest wineries, Casa Madero, with over 425 years of history and a grape production for wine exceeding 80,000 tons.

In celebration of this event, Casa Madero, known for its constant innovation, is introducing the limited edition of 3V from the 2021 harvest, aged for 12 months in barrels. The winery carefully selected the best grape lots for this blend, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Tempranillo, which were worked on to obtain a higher concentration of properties in each grape.

As a result, it was reported that they achieved a wine with greater structure, complexity, and elegance while maintaining the essence that characterizes 3V, a high-quality wine with a fresh, fruity, and versatile character.

According to the Mexican Wine Council, there are currently more than 38,000 hectares dedicated to grape cultivation of different types, including table grapes, raisin grapes, grapes for juice, grapes for wine, and brandy.

This makes the wine industry the second largest source of employment in the agricultural sector, providing jobs for over 500,000 laborers working in 400 wineries across 15 states: Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Sonora, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo, Puebla, Jalisco, Durango, and Zacatecas.

With the release of this limited edition, Casa Madero invites you to celebrate Mexican Wine Day by raising your glasses with a wine that reflects the high quality that distinguishes the winery and reinforces its commitment to promoting Mexico’s name in the wine industry at the national and international levels.
