New Cold Front Approaching the Yucatan Peninsula

MÉRIDA, Yucatan, October 27, 2023.- A new cold front is approaching the region, it is expected to enter on Wednesday, November 1, and remain cooling the area until November 3.

According to Civil Protection, the cold front is expected to enter on the morning of November 1st and will remain stationary over the state of Yucatan until Friday, November 3rd.

“It will be accompanied by wind gusts of 45 to 55 km/h in the coastal zone and 35 to 45 km/h in the interior of the State, expecting a cool environment with temperatures between 28°C and 32°C the maximum and 17°C to 19°C the minimum in the center, southeast and southwest of the State and above 19°C in the north and coastal zone; the swell will be from 1.5 to 2.0 m”, they indicate.

Light to moderate rain is also expected, initially in the northwest municipalities and gradually in the northeast, southwest, and southeast, which will be of light to moderate intensity.
