Taboada’s sole candidacy with the PAN sparks controversy

The National Action Party announced Santiago Taboada as the candidate who would represent the party in the race for CDMX.

The PAN members Kenia López, Lía Limón and Margarita Zavala, who had shown their interest in participating in the race, declined in favor of Taboada.

“The PAN made a decision and has a rooster,” said Marko Cortés, which sparked criticism mainly from Morena, which noted in a statement that with the election of Taboada, “the PAN members are assured of their defeat.”
