With the aim of attracting more investments and projects that provide employment opportunities that improve the quality of life of Yucatecans, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal will undertake a work tour of the United States, where he will present the characteristics and advantages of Yucatán to executives of important firms, as well as representatives of government and private institutions of that country.
This trade mission of the Governor, which will take place until December 2 in the city of Washington DC, is part of the intense promotional work that he has carried out and his commitment to continue attracting investments to our state, which translate into opportunities better-paid jobs for Yucatecan families, mainly for those who live in the interior of the state.
To this end, Vila Dosal will meet with managers and representatives of companies and public and private institutions to present the actions carried out since its administration that have contributed to transforming the state in terms of industry, logistics, security, sustainability, trained human talent, training. educational and strategic projects.
Likewise, the Governor will seek to strengthen international relations, which is why he will meet with US government representatives, with whom he will discuss topics such as the development of semiconductors, technologies, climate change, trained human talent, academic training, nearshoring, as well as logistics and imports. , in addition to collaboration with the Agency for International Development (USAID, by its name in English).
Likewise, Vila Dosal will address the competitive and commercial advantages of our state in the field of logistics and imports and exports before directors and executives of entities dedicated to market research, bilateral relations, as well as economic and human growth.
His work agenda also includes work meetings with leading companies in the technology area to address nearshoring issues and how to promote Yucatán in this type of commercial strategy; will hold meetings with representatives of business chambers of that country and with representatives of the largest industrial manufacturing association in the United States to present Yucatán as the ideal state to invest. As well as he will discuss with international leaders about the education and cybersecurity projects that the state has in place.
It is worth remembering that Yucatán occupies third place in entities in Mexico that have best taken advantage of nearshoring, through the improvement of its logistics, with the remodeling of the Mérida International Airport, the Mayan Train projects, the Expansion of the Progreso Altura Port and the construction of the 2 Combined Cycle and Natural Gas Plants.
Therefore, the Governor will explain that the state is experiencing a historic moment with new infrastructure and the opportunity to become a new border with the United States to be able to export products to the East Coast. In this sense, Vila Dosal will present the competitive advantages of the state during its meetings to promote the linking of Yucatecan companies and thereby promote the generation of better-paying jobs for the population.
