The last weekend of the year started badly for the driver of a Suzuki Swift car, as he had to be taken to a hospital after an accident on December 30 morning in the western area of the Anillo Periférico of Mérida.
According to witnesses, the vehicle was traveling in the outer lanes, and when passing through the curve at kilometer 43, the man behind the wheel lost control ended up inside the central ditch, and advanced several meters without control.
The vehicle ended its mad dash into the concrete base of a utility pole, knocking it over and causing the Swift to roll over and over again until it finally came to a stop. Other passing motorists called 911. Paramedics arrived at the scene, treated the driver, and took him to a hospital due to the severe blows and injuries he suffered.
