Mérida, Yucatán, February 1, 2024.- To promote and care for the health of the inhabitants of the Municipality’s police stations, Mayor Alejandro Ruz Castro initiated the “Growing in Health” program to promote equal opportunities that provide the necessary conditions to improve their quality of life.

At this event, the Mayor emphasized the commitment of the municipal administration to offer programs and initiatives that promote social well-being among the population, especially those who live in vulnerable conditions.

He mentioned that this program, aimed especially at police stations, aims to bring medical supplies to those who, due to their health and economic condition, cannot purchase them on their own, and also offers medical care and health support.

At the beginning of the program, the Mayor delivered the first support to beneficiaries consisting of disposable diapers for the elderly and people with disabilities, medications, nebulizers, baumanometers, glucometers and other assistance, in addition to support for medical studies and surgeries.
