In search of labor, the National Chamber of the Clothing Industry ( Canaive ), Yucatán delegation, will establish production workshops in municipalities such as Ticul , Tekax , Oxkutzcab and Muna.
The president of the Canaive Yucatán delegation, Jorge Moreno González, announced that the objective is to counteract the shortage of experienced personnel in Mérida and its metropolitan area.
He recalled that currently around four thousand positions need to be filled to address the lack of hand labor in this area, which has become an obstacle that the industry seeks to overcome to take advantage of growth opportunities.
The decentralization of production centers in the clothing industry surges as an innovative solution to diversify production locations and take advantage of the potential of employees in areas that have not traditionally been industrial centers.
The first Maquiladoras linked to the main factories in the clothing industry, will be installed in Southern Yucatecan municipalities, including Ticul, Tekax, Oxkutzcab and Muna.
This Canaive initiative can have a positive impact on the life of the communities in the southern part of the state, offering employment opportunities and strengthening the presence of the clothing industry in new geographic locations.
