All the magic that surrounds the world of Lego has arrived in Yucatan, with an extraordinary response from the population, the company’s 25th store in the country was inaugurated, in Plaza Galerías of this city, in front of the Ice Rink.
Even before the official opening, customers were present and a long line formed to witness the moment it opened its doors and be able to purchase the model of their choice.
The ribbon cutting was led by Abraham Acevedo Elizalde, country manager of Lego Stores Mexico.
“We are celebrating six years in Mexico and we continue with a very interesting expansion plan. “We have more than 80 sets, a very interesting variety for all types of passions, those who like cars, flowers, ships, art, any hobby can be found in a Lego store and above all excellent service,” stated Acevedo Elizalde.
“For a long time we wanted to enter Mérida, on social networks, they asked us when we were coming here, but we can now be operating this store,” he added.
It should be noted that upon arriving at the store you will be greeted by an impressive feline, which is located on the side of the entrance door and made of course with Lego bricks.
“It is a jaguar, the model is 3D and was made specifically for Mexico, we also have a series of molds that have been manufactured for this country such as an Adelita, a Classic Burrito, or a Taquero,” said the leader and revealed that it is the second branch in this region of the Republic.
“We have been in Cancun for a few years, we arrived in Mérida and there is a lot to expand in the southern and southeastern part, we are about to confirm new locations,” he added.
In the establishment, attendees will find an area to build mini figures on the spot, with a cost of three for 299 pesos; Pick and Build area, where they can look for a specific brick they need to take home; along with sets from Disney, Star Wars or Harry Potter and novelties for adults. Likewise, there are items such as keychains, mugs, and other items. The Lego world is already in Mérida and the store will open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
