As part of the EnBici program, the Merida City Council announced that another means of ecological transportation such as electric scooters will soon begin operating, which will serve certain areas of the city of Mérida.

This service will be offered with the same rental clauses as the bicycle EnBici program, which has been successful, especially among young people in Mérida.

The electric scooter system will be available within a perimeter that will cover the Historic Center, Paseo de Montejo, and the Gran Parque de la Plancha.

And as with the EnBici program, the scooters will be controlled through a mobile application.

A characteristic of this new transportation system is that if you leave the established perimenter, the vehicle will automatically turn off and slow down as a safety method.

At the moment there is no date for the start of this new service and its cost, which will be reported as more details are provided by the local authorities.
