Renán Barrera, candidate for governor of Yucatán, would promote tourism with the creation of the “Yucatán connected” program, which would aim to increase and improve air, road, and port connectivity to increase the number of tourists who visit our state.

He indicated that this would increase the economic benefits for all municipalities because the goal is to double the 3.6 million passengers registered at the Mérida Airport in 2023.

He reported that the entire tourism sector of Yucatan would have access to solidarity loans, to start and grow their businesses in all the municipalities of the state.

Likewise, he explained that the improvement of land connectivity includes modernizing the road infrastructure of the coastal area to reduce travel times between nearby towns, such as the route between Progreso and Dzilam, and, in due course, resuming efforts to build a highway arch. that connects Uxmal with Chichén Itzá.

Finally, Barrera Concha, on the 32nd day of the campaign, met with the candidates for the different popularly elected positions to endorse the alliances that were formed in this process.
