Yucatán continues to grow in the generation of formal employment sources

Yucatán continues to advance in the generation of employment sources, registering last April a total of 437,516 registered workers before the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), which meant an annual growth of 3.7% compared to the same month, but of 2023, reflecting the economic growth promoted by the State Government to increase the quality of life of Yucatecan families.

The IMSS report, regarding the last month of April, indicated that the 3.7% growth of the state in terms of employment, is higher than the national average, which is 2.5% and thus positioned Yucatan among the first 10 in the entire country with the highest growth. .

In Yucatán, since May 2021, there have been 36 consecutive months of annual growth in workers affiliated with the IMSS.

This indicator reported that, during the first four months of 2024, a growth of 0.36% was recorded in the number of insured workers.

It is worth remembering that, with the investments of more than 350 projects in sectors such as Information Technology, aerospace, real estate, agro-industrial, construction, logistics, among others with internationally renowned brands such as Accenture, Airbus, Heineken, Uchiyama, Woodgenix, Preh and Furthermore, promoted by this Government, the generation of important sources of employment in all economic sectors has been achieved.

In this way, we continue to promote the arrival of more companies that bring the families of Yucatan those better-paid jobs with social security that are needed to raise their quality of life.

According to the IMSS indicator, between April 2023 and 2024, 15,700 new jobs were generated, which placed Yucatán among the first 11 places with the highest job creation.

Likewise, during the first four months of the year, 1,576 new jobs were generated and in the current administration 67,976 new jobs have been generated, which positioned the state in the 10th place with the highest job creation in the period analyzed. In this sense, 1,015 monthly jobs have been generated.
