A motorcyclist died on the Mérida-Progreso Highway in front of the Pemex facilities at the entrance to the port.
Police personnel and paramedics from the Red Cross gathered at the place, where the lifeless body of a motorcyclist allegedly identified as Jesús Kantún Calderon alias “Macorina” was found, who was apparently run over on Monday, May 13th, in the aforementioned place. .
According to people at the scene, the man had lost control accidentally, due to a heat stroke or a heart attack, which caused him to lose consciousness while driving his motorcycle and ended up skidding and crashing, losing his life instantly.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office and the Semefo gathered at the scene to lift the body and carry out the first investigations to clarify how this fatal accident occurred.
