The candidate of the National Action Party (PAN) for the governorship of Yucatán, Renán Barrera Concha, maintains a solid advantage in electoral preferences 22 days before the June 2 election, as confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by the polling company Áltica Research on May 12.

According to the comparison carried out by that company, Renán Barrera maintains a solid advantage of 10 percentage points (44 percent) over his closest competitor, Joaquín Díaz Mena (34 percent), nominated by the coalition led by the Morena party in the state.

Much further down are the Citizen Movement candidate, Vida Gómez Herrera, with four percent of the voting intention and the standard-bearer of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), Tina Tuyub, with just three percent.

The study indicates that two percent of the voters surveyed will not vote on June 2 and three percent still do not know which candidate they would vote during election day.

The survey was carried out on Merida citizens over 18 years of age and, as has happened with other surveys carried out with the methodology and requirements demanded by the National Electoral Institute (INE), it places Renán Barrera as the favorite to obtain victory among the inhabitants of the Yucatecan capital and Joaquín Díaz Mena, brings him closer to his third consecutive defeat in his intention to reach the Governorship.
