The Interactive Museum of the Palace of Music joins the celebration of International Museum Day, with an outstanding activity aimed at promoting and highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the state.
As part of this commemoration, Diego Nevárez, Director of Exhibiscopio and mind behind the innovative Interactive Museum of the Palacio de la Música, will offer an in-person talk. In it, he will share details about the inspiration behind this exciting museum, as well as the entire conception and development process.
The talk will take place on Sunday, May 19 at noon and will be accessible to all visitors to the venue, offering an exceptional opportunity to immerse themselves in the world behind the Interactive Museum of the Palace of Music. Only payment for museum admission will be required to participate.
Additionally, throughout May, the Interactive Museum invites visitors to participate in the exciting Museum Rally 2024, titled “Discover Who’s Who in the Museums,” organized by the Yucatan Museum Network. Suitable for all ages, this event offers the opportunity to explore not only the Interactive Museum, but also 12 other notable museum spaces in the region. Participants will have the chance to win exciting prizes that will be drawn at the end of the event.
Along with the activities scheduled for International Museum Day, the Palace of Music presents a weekend full of events that will delight music lovers.
An educational concert titled ‘Retretas del Mundo‘, by the Tizimín Youth Symphonic Band, will take place on Saturday, May 18th at noon.
In addition, the recitals ‘Candlelight: Coldplay vs Imagine Dragons’ and ‘Candlelight Tribute to Taylor Swift’ promise a unique musical experience.
Finally, the Yucatán Symphony Orchestra will join pianist Rachid Bernal for two unmissable presentations, on Friday, May 17th at 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m.
