Quintana Roo plans alliance with the United Arab Emirates

Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama holds a working meeting with Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Altaei, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates.

To establish links in areas of common interest, such as connectivity through the Tulum International Airport, the promotion of investments, and the development of joint business projects, for education and culture, among other topics, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Altaei held a working meeting.

Mara Lezama explained to the diplomat that in Quintana Roo they work 24/7 for the people, the people of Quintana Roo, to improve the quality of life and that tourism success is translated and reflected in the well-being of the people. She indicated that she wants to work with the United Arab Emirates with the potential that the entity has for diversification, with the possibility of exporting crafts that are true works of art, the product of ancient crafts.

Likewise, rural products, such as pineapple, honey, and chocolate, the important agricultural products that have also been fundamental for development. She considered that the state also opens a window for the possibility of a UAE company establishing itself here.

Governor Mara Lezama affirmed that the Government of Quintana Roo seeks to strengthen air connectivity, establishing links with airlines from the United Arab Emirates for the Tulum International Airport, to create connections with cities such as Dubai, among others.

The Governor reiterated that many issues can be worked on in a coordinated manner.
