They are Carlos D. P., 30 years old, originally from Mérida, and Leonardo Alfonso H. C., 29 years old and originally from Progreso. Another person involved in this crime is Héctor José A. M., detained on the day of the events and who is already linked to the process.
According to the evidence collected by the investigating agents and prosecutors, the three mentioned would have deprived the life of Emilio S. M., known as “Mulato”, in exchange for a payment of 60 thousand pesos, offered by a person not yet identified.
This person paid an advance of 20 thousand pesos to Leonardo Alfonso H. C. so that he could find two more men to be in charge of killing the victim.
Leonardo Alfonso contacted Héctor José and he in turn contacted Carlos; He met with them to give them keys to the victim’s property and the clothes they should wear in the crime.
The man, approximately 60 years old, lived alone and his house, in addition to being completely closed, had a wide circuit of security cameras.
The agents of the State Investigation Police and the Public Ministry placed the detainees at the disposal of the control judge who issued the arrest warrant for the crime of qualified homicide.
