With an initial investment of 25 million pesos (US$1.4 million), the boutique hostel called “AMATE61” begins operations, however, the entire project will have a final investment of approximately 100 million pesos.
(Casa Amate 61).- The joint investment consists of a project that includes a unique circuit, the first establishment is Amate, located on 61st Street in the historic center of Merida, however, there will be more, and the second will be very close to the traditional cantina “La Negrita” located between 62nd and 49th Street and the third will be on 50th Street, near where the gastronomic corridor.
What is a Boutique Hotel Hostel?
This hotel concept was born in the eighties in New York to refer to all those hotel services that stand out for their privileged location and their careful design, always accompanied by a personalized and luxurious service.
With the vision of young entrepreneurs Eduardo Triay, director of Grupo Libera, and Raul Sanchez, director of Black Swan, comes this innovative concept of joint investment rescuing emblematic mansions from the first square of the city, revolutionizing the concept of high-end hospitality with the boutique hostel Amate 61, an establishment where private and shared rooms are offered for national and foreign tourists who seek and like new experiences.
“All the comfort and a 5-star service is this new concept of modern hospitality in which experience and young entrepreneurs bet on high-end services offering everything necessary for a spectacular memory when traveling,” said R. Sánchez from Black Swan, an expert company in the hotel industry.
In addition to generating employment for locals by having a vision and objectives of a socially responsible company, the final intention is that guests can enjoy the three hostels and all its amenities, swimming pools, yoga, bicycles, temazcal sessions, cafes, bars, restaurants, a bracelet would be the special badge.
Casa Amate 61 has already opened its doors and has been receiving its first guests. The second proposal will be ready in March of next year and the third at the end of 2025.
